RACHEL + NATHAN - A fairytale wedding in Frankenmuth, MI

    Rachel and Nathan’s wedding day was like something right out of a movie.  Frankenmuth, MI never disappoints. It is like being transported back in time into a little, picturesque German village with horse drawn carriages, covered bridges, and the most wonderful restaurants and little shops along the flower lined streets.  The weather was perfection, with the first fall like breezes showing up, keeping the air crisp and cool.

    All of their family and the wedding party rented the most charming, historical homes to stay in. That was the perfect way to enjoy the whole Frankenmuth experience!  There was so much love between the families and the joy that brought them together on this day was palpable.  The couple chose a vibrant color palette of burnt orange, yellows and reds , but was only outshined by how stunning Rachel  looked in her flowing a-line gown! It had the most beautiful lace bodice and back detail!  Her sister actually made the veil and embroidered all of the floral accents along border!!  She intertwined their initials in the veil as well as a paw print to represent Rachel and Nathans adorable pup. What a labor of love!

    Rachel and Nathen now call Washington State home but wanted to have their wedding here in Michigan.  Both are originally from Michigan with Rachel attending U of M and Nathan attending Western.  They met each other through friends at a college party.  Rachel said she was earnestly eating a plate of mac-n-cheese in the corner of the room and looked up to see Nathan watching her.  She gave him a little wave with her fork and smiled.  Nathan said later- it was in that moment, he knew she was the one for him:)  And, turns out, 7 years later, they’ve been inseparable ever since! Ahhh the magic of mac-n-cheese!  They have a mutual love for hiking & travel and spend much of their free time exploring.  I can’t wait to see what adventures await them in their new life together as husband and wife:)
