LISA + LUAN - A fall wedding at the Cheney Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan

The tears flowed as easily as the laughter on Lisa and Luan’s wedding day! They are the sweetest couple with the most sensitive, giant hearts! Lisa wanted to read the letter Luan had written for her - well before she got her hair and makeup done- as she knew it would be very emotional for her. She was right:) It was a touching moment for both of them. Luan’s beautiful daughter was equally excited for this wedding. Her eyes absolutely sparkled all day! They had another very important family member who wasn’t able to attend their special day - their beloved dog Mimi. They knew she had to be there with them in some way, shape or “form” and you’ll get a kick out of seeing how they did that! Lisa and Luan are not only animal lovers - but big time nature lovers as well! They even took a few minutes to do a little fishing between the wedding and reception! Hey, why waste a good solid two minutes when you have it to spare:)

Lisa and Luan have a fantastic family and friend group that surrounded them on their wedding day. It was touching to watch Lisa’s dad give his speech at the reception. He had a difficult time getting thru it, as many dads do, and Lisa got up to stand by his side. (It’s clear now, where she gets her emotional side from:) Seriously though, they are a pretty fortunate couple to be a part of such a great extended family!

The party went on well into the night - Lisa, Luan, and his (their) daughter Riley gave new meaning to the phrase “dance like nobody’s watching!” We all got to witness a glimpse into the love and joy that lives in their home:)
