JANAE + TORRI - A Romantic Summer Michigan Wedding
Janae and Torri began planning their dream wedding well over a year ago and had everything set for a June wedding. Who in a million years would have thought that a global pandemic would take over in March and halt life as we know it. No one could know how long restrictions would last or what life in general was going to look like. Definitely a scary time. In hopes that things would resume to some sort of normalcy, they decided to reschedule the wedding for August 29th - because things would most likely be under control in 6 months - right!? Well, as time ticked away, the situation only worsened and sadly they knew that the big celebration they had planned, would have to be postponed again.
As much as a big celebration meant to these two - getting married was much more important and all that really mattered in the end. Both of their families kicked it into gear BIG TIME, on short notice, to give Janae and Torri a beautiful wedding after all! They did an unbelievably spectacular job I must say! I’m telling you - they should consider renting their place out for weddings - it was a dream for a photographer both inside and out!
Surrounded by immediate family and their wedding party, Janae and Tori said their vows, on the beautiful grounds that surround her parents home, underneath the arbor that both of their father’s made together -and it was perfect!! Janae and Torri are both extremely close with their grandparents - and found a touching way to honor those that are no longer with us and greatly missed. Torri wore his grandfather’s cuff links and Janae had a piece of her grandmother’s wedding dress sewn to the inside of hers. It was so apparent how much that meant to them:)
I have known Torri since the day he was born and his family is like family to me. So as you can imagine, being able to photograph his wedding day meant everything :) The best part of the night, was watching them all dance the night away under the stars:) So much joy, love and happiness! It really was - The Best Day Ever! (Check out the sign in the first picture - carved into a giant piece of wood - that Janae’s father made for them too - unbelievable!)
The story doesn’t end here. I’m so excited that we get to do it all again - even bigger - next July!!! Stay tuned:)
I had the most difficult time -sorting thru hundreds of images & deciding which few to share! Enjoy some of my favorites:)
